Description

Foster parents, adoptive parents, teachers, social workers, counselors and others who serve vulnerable children in the Nashville area are invited to a day of trauma-sensitive continuing education January 27, 2018.

The Whole Child Intensive, sponsored by the Southeast Produce Council, will provide continuing education credits to social workers and foster parents. The Intensive is hosted by The Glade Church in Mount Juliet and features local presenters who can connect caregivers and professionals to trauma-sensitive resources in the area. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and the event ends at 5:15 p.m. Childcare and lunch are provided.

Keynote Speakers
Paris Goodyear-Brown, LCSW, founder and director Nurture House in Franklin, TN, is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor with over 20 years of treatment experience. Goodyear-Brown is a dynamic speaker who has presented and trained all over the world.

Chris Troutt, LMFT, co-founder and director of the Papillion Center in Nashville, is a Christian family therapist who brings a unique background to her clients. She and her husband, Burt, are parents to twelve children, have seventeen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Chris is a biological mother, an adoptive mother, a stepmother, and a foster mother.
