Event description

Description

When faced with a terminal illness, there are so many people wanting information – spouses, children, significant others, parents, siblings, friends. This end-of-life situation will affect them all in some way. They want to know - What does this mean? What can I expect? As professionals we have guidelines related to confidentiality but we also encounter additional ethical concerns when it comes to sharing information when someone is dying. Through case examples we will explore some of these issues and develop strategies on how best to respond.

Target Audience: Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, and Chaplains/Spiritual Care Counselors

Schedule:
5:00p-5:30p = Campus tours (optional)
5:30p-6:00p = Networking dinner
6:00p-8:00p = Presentation
