Event Details

The Katie Beckett Program is a special eligibility process that allows certain children with long-term disabilities, mental illness, or complex medical needs living at home with their families to obtain a Wisconsin ForwardHealth Medicaid card.

Children who are not eligible for other Medicaid programs because the income or assets of their parents are too high may be eligible for Medicaid through the Katie Beckett Program. A child may be eligible for this source of Medicaid even if they are currently covered under a private health insurance policy.

Dennis Liphart, a Katie Beckett consultant covering Ashland, Bayfield, Sawyer, Iron, Vilas, Price, Marathon and Taylor counties will provide an overview of the program and answer any questions you may have.

This workshop is FREE to any families who may be interested. Please register by August 14. Contact Dory at dmarshall@cclse.org with questions.

Catholic Charities Post Adoption Resource Center

Catholic Charities Post Adoption Resource Center (PARC) is funded by a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families to provide education, supportive services, resources and a referral network to any individuals living in northern and western Wisconsin whose lives have been touched by adoption. We have Post Adoption Specialists in each of our three office locations: Eau Claire, La Crosse, and Wausau.

Please visit our website for more information about the resources offered through the PARC. These include support groups (through facebook as well as face-to-face), family and community education about adoption and related topics, an extensive lending library with sensory items such as weighted blankets and compression vests available, and a directory of licensed counselors near you with adoption experience and/or training.

You can also follow us on facebook for up-to-date event happenings and news.
