Event description

Congratulations! Now you are a qualified Coaching Supervisor. So…what next?

Join this small group exploration into how to build your Supervision practice. This session will not be a traditional marketing workshop – excellent versions of this kind of support can be found elsewhere.

Jo will facilitate an exploration into ‘Who I am, is how... I build my business/supervision practice’! In this webinar, we will walk around this question together. We might explore what you hoped for when you embarked on the Diploma? How your thinking may have been consolidated, or changed, over the year through your learning and through interactions with others? What is it that you want to develop now? And how does this fit with your existing portfolio? We’ll move between the detail and the bigger picture – considering the professional field and the development of supervision.

We will use personal exploration, supportive, interactive thinking and feeling between participants, and trust that the collective wisdom of the group will yield rich rewards. Participants can formulate their own action plan and will have the option of joining a second session to reconnect with each other and share progress and further developments.

This will be a 90 minute webinar. We will ensure every participant gets the chance to share their own story and also contribute to others. It will be a small group session and will run with 5 (min) or 6 (max) participants. It is open to any CSA graduate from the UK, Asia Pacific, USA or France... and we welcome other supervisors to join and explore with us too!

PLEASE NOTE: We need a minimum of 5 participants to run the webinar. Your ticket will be fully refunded if we do not reach this number. However, should we sell out quickly we will put on an extra webinar!

About Jo Birch

I have been a supervisor for 20 years and have been in continuous practice through this time. I weave my work as a supervisor alongside being an Executive Coach and Psychotherapist - supervising professionals in both fields, including other supervisors, trainers and researchers.

I've also regularly provided supervision to NHS managers, consultants and specialist practitioners.

I'm passionate about supervision. I love the co-creation of the space, the collaborative thinking and the service to our profession...and ultimately to the people who chose to work with each of us in all of our practices.

It is really important to me the way in which I build, and hold, my work. It is important to me that I do work in which I am also fulfilled. This inner fulfilment is necessarily transfered into the relationship. When I work with joy in my heart we are both held in a more generative space than if I work with fatigue, or reluctance. might that translate into building a business. Knowing myself is the key ingredient, and knowing who I want to work with and also my reasons. What is the fire in me that draws me to my work? Once I get that clear the work will come!

I am Programme Leader of the UK Diploma in Coaching Supervision; and Director of CSA International, ICRP and CSA Asia Pacific.

I'm committed to playing my part in developing the profession of coaching; recognising quality and stretching our capacity to serve. I do this through a number of key voluntary roles within the Association for Coaching, Global Supervisors Network, and previously BACP Coaching (Chair 2012-2014).

Outside of the coaching field I am a Trustee for Patient's Advocacy Service in a maximum security hospital; and a Board member on a Community Interest Company providing adventurous activities for disadvantaged children and families. I hold one Public Appointment with Scotland's Children's Hearings.

Come! Join me!
