White River Films at the Nickel Plate District

Description
Drop in on your lunch hour at the Pavillion at the Nickle Plate District Pavillion for a special screening of three short films about Indiana's White River and the lives it touches. This free event is open to the public and appropriate for all ages. Complimentary drinks and a trail mix bar will be provided. Doors open at 11:30 with the films beginning at noon.
This special screening of Indiana Humanities's Next Indiana Campfires Films is presented by Indiana Humanities in partnership with the City of Fishers, Visit Hamilton County and the White River Vision Plan. Representatives of the White River Vision Plan will be on hand to answer questions about the exciting changes ahead for this crucial Indiana waterway.
ABOUT THE FILMS
In 2019, Indiana Humanities debuted three short films by Indiana filmmakers about the White River and the lives it touches. Braided with the Current by Katelyn Calhoun and Hannah Hodges; Onward Ever: The Becoming of Indiana's White River by Brandon Walsh; and White River: Perspectives by Hannah Lindgren explore the ways Hoosiers are connected by this important Indiana waterway.
