Treatment- to take the cure

White Flag Recovery Retreats are like nectar to the soul. ✨

We MUST take time out of our regular daily life to gain space and perspective. To be re-energized and reinvigorated, reminded and realigned with our true nature so that we can re-enter our lives with a freshness that is so badly needed in our world today just to keep up keeping up.

The Pelican Inn ~ a unique History

Located on the “arrogantly shabby” Pawleys Island, the Pelican Inn is a charming bed and breakfast built in the 1840s. All guest rooms are air-conditioned, and are incredibly charming. This is true rustic elegance. As the owner say's, "There is just the right amount of patina." ✨. The house and grounds are perfect for our gathering and we will be spending lots of time outside and in nature. There is direct beach access, and a private dock over the salt marsh is perfect for viewing sunsets and morning and evening meditation.

Pawleys Island was recently rated in the top 15 beaches in the world..... SHHHHHHHH!🤫 .

Our Excusion~

Navigate The Cypress Forests Of Myrtle Beach

This kayak tour generally has slower currents and is usually the easiest tour from a physical perspective. This. tour is accessible for all skill levels. It is also much more shaded thanks to South Carolina’s beautiful cypress trees draped in Spanish moss.

On this two-hour Myrtle Beach kayak tour, your knowledgeable guide shares interesting information about the area, its plants, and its wildlife inhabitants. The river is home to several pairs of nesting osprey, as well as numerous other birds.

As we paddle the calm waters on this peaceful kayak tour, you may see birds, turtles, and sometimes even alligators!

You will have much space and time to yourself.

T R US T

✨ In these few days we create a container of intimacy and shedding of layers. We get to re charge, re-new and re affirm our daily practice and also reaffirm our bearings to stay on, or get back on course. It is always about coming back to the midline, to the mat, to SOURCE. White Flag Retreats help us to stay true to the path and the practice. To get away from all of the noise, clutter, and confusion and come hOMe....✨

The eternal cycle of unbecoming to become ~ My hope is that you will allow yourself this experience and RE TREAT with us~

Come hOMe to that which was NEVER not there~

Om Shanti 🕉

Won't you give this to yourself....and join us..

What is Primordial Sound Meditation ?

“Based in the 5,000-year-old Vedic tradition, this meditation technique uses a personalized mantra based on the vibration the universe was making at the exact date and time of your birth. Repeating this mantra during meditation helps you slip into the silence between your thoughts, aka “the gap,” to help you quiet your mind, look past fear and anxiety, and react from a place of stillness and calm.

PSM (Primordial Sound Meditation) practiced consistently for twenty minutes each session, twice a day, will train the nervous system to experience periods of deep relaxation and transcendent states of consciousness.

Over time, this transcendent state of consciousness will permeate our Awareness during our waking periods of activity (performing action) so that we are able to intentionally “edit our lives” as they are happening.

We will begin to “perform action” based on our connection to Self (Consciousness) rather than as a “reaction” based on past impressions (samskara).

We will move from Karma to Dharma….from unconscious reaction to purposeful response.

We will move from fear and anxiety to peace and bliss….a state of contentment that will be at the base of all that we experience.

Your Retreat Leader

Kimberly Thompson

300 RYT Trauma Informed Yoga 12 Step Recovery leader and Space holder, Qi gong and Somatic experieced practitioner, and Way_ Shōwer.

Founder of White Flag Co. The Retreats, community and online meetings, special events and workshops.

Kimberly is a living example of NEVER NOT BROKEN. A self professed “lifelong learner.” Kimberly is in long term recovery. She believes that addiction just wants to live, and it does not really care how it manifests itself.

It was not until she began her own deep trauma work that she discovered the depth of resistance, stored trauma, and dissonance held in the body. Until the deregulation in the nervous system is addressed and moved, the likelihood of staying stuck in the frequency of addiction is probable.

Through a yoga (moving meditation) practice paired with the cognitive approach of the 12 steps, she has built a sustainable and long term platform for recovery. It is this practice and passion that she loves to share with others through her individual and group yoga sessions, classes, workshops, retreats and events. Above all, she loves to share this HOLISTIC approach to recovery with others.
