Event description
An annual event organized by Guide Dogs Singapore to celebrate the abilities and successes of people with visual impairment.

About this Event

A 2018 report by the International Labour Organization and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development showed over 50% employment of the disability community in countries like Australia and Germany. For Singapore, we sit at just 5%. With more than 300,000 people with sensory and physical disabilities in Singapore, yet less than 10 qualified specialists and only 8 guide dogs, would you not agree that as a society, we can and must do more?

This is why, as a charity that empowers and re-integrates them, we commemorate White Cane Day with a community event. This day celebrates their abilities and successes in a sighted world. Our event brings together the community in this goal, thereby also educating on blindness and providing a safe space for interaction between blind and sighted people.

Join us for this event and do your part. This year is an opportune time, as the Bicentennial Community Fund by the government will match your donation to us one-to-one. Come join us for the event as well!
