MAINSPRING OF EPHRATA is looking for awesome food vendors and food trucks to participate in our Third Saturday events at Whistle Stop Plaza!

About this Event

Mainspring of Ephrata is hosting six (6) THIRD SATURDAY events in downtown Ephrata from May to October. These events were first introduced in 2017, and they were a huge success.

WHEN: Third Saturdays from May - October

WHERE: Whistle Stop Plaza, 16 E. Main St, Ephrata

TIME: 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm

These Whistle Stop Plaza events all combine LIVE music, food and adult beverages (ie: Party on the Plaza). Shopping vendors are added to the mix from June - September (ie: Whistle Stop Night Market).

These events run from 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Whistle Stop Plaza. This is a signature and highly visible event for our community, drawing hundreds each month to enjoy live entertainment, a variety of craft and food vendors, plus food trucks and much more!

For all these events, live music helps create a festive atmosphere and will have you tapping your toes & maybe even doing a bit of dancing!

Food Trucks and food stands are also a mainstay of our Whistle Stop Plaza events. There's a great assortment of things to eat, from fresh Italian dishes & homemade empanadas, to hot dogs & french fries. We hope you'll join with us to put on a great community event!

Note: This event is family-friendly. Must be 21+ to enjoy an Adult Beverage (bring your ID... we have a 100% IDing policy, with NO exceptions...you could be 75 years old & using a walker & they still won't serve you without your ID!!)


How much does a booth space cost?

• Food Vendor pricing is $50/month. Because we've had difficulty with having food vendors cancel at the last minute or not show up the day of the event, this year we are charging a REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of $100 which will be returned to you the day of the event, when you arrive, or carried over to the next month if you'll be attending a future event

o There is a discount for vendors who book and pay early (before 5/1/2019) .

o There is a discount for vendors who commit to the whole season (all 6 party / markets)

What comes with my registration?

• Food STAND Vendors are given the space allotted to them (a 10x10 tent) that includes one (1) 8 foot table, 1 folding chair and one clamp-on light.

• Food Trucks are given the space allotted to them based on the size of your truck and your serving configuration.

Are vendors required to have State Tax Id’s and Health Inspection Paperwork?

• YES! Every vendor will be asked to provide the organizer with a copy of your tax id and health inspection certificate for our files.

What about the weather?

• In the case of inclement weather that forces us to move the event indoors to the Ephrata VFW, Food Vendors will all recieve a full refund of your monthly fee and deposit.

o We will begin communicating to vendors as soon as we’re aware there’s a potential we’ll need to move the event indoors.

o We will make all weather-decisions before noon on the Friday before market days.

When can I set up?

• Food stands can begin setting up at 2:00 pm. We ask that food trucks arrive at 3:30 pm.

What if I need to cancel?

• Any cancellations must be given in writing and either postmarked or emailed no later than one full month before the event you’re unable to attend. Any cancellations after that will be handled on a case by case basis by the organizers to CONSIDER a partial refund. Refunds are not possible for “Whole Season” after April 20th (one month before our first market).

What if a vendor is a “no show”?

• You will forfeit your $100 deposit.

Can I break down early?

• Early breakdown is not permitted unless we close down the market early for a weather emergency or some exception is agreed upon by the organizer IN ADVANCE (Do NOT ask for this exception the day of the event!)

The following is a list of important communications you can expect from us. If you have not received them, it is your responsibility to contact us and let us know as your email may be filtered. We cannot be held responsible for any important information you may have missed that was made available.

• Registration Confirmation Email (Immediately after registration)

• Market Reminder & and recap of set up instructions (Monday before market)

• Weather-related communications: as needed up to the event.

• The parking lot beside the Reformed Presbyterian Church: 21 E. Locust St.

• The parking lot behind Bethany United Church: 140 E. Main Street

• The parking lot behind Ephrata National Bank: 31 E. Main Street
