If writing is your way, if you have experiences that are stranger than fiction, if you're a creative spirit interested in a new friends, if you recently overcome a trauma, if you just want a place to call home...join us for the Whisky Writers Club facilitated by local author, Seve Toress.
Sevé Torres is an alum of June Jordan's Poetry for the People, the Rutgers Camden MFA program, Voices of Our Nations Arts Foundation (VONA), and full-time English professor at the Community College of Philadelphia. His poetry has been published in literary journals including Crab Orchard Review, Mead Magazine, Connotation Press: An Online Artifact, as well as, Dismantle: An Anthology of Writing from the VONA/Voices Writing Workshop. Currently he is working on a book of nonfiction tracing the story of his Puerto Rican family through three generations - from migration to displaced diasporic living. Along the way, he has become a connoisseur of whisky, wine, and other fine libations.
