Whisky & Poetry Salon with Noir Poet Cece Peri
Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
The B. Black Building elevator will still be unavailable for the May 15th Whisky & Poetry Salon but with noir poet Cece Peri as our feature, you'll be glad you climbed the stairs...with a stop at the 3rd floor Whisky Way Station, of course!
We can't wait to trade you whisky for your words up in the B. Black Penthouse with its dramatic, cityscape skyline so bring a poem -- your own or someone else's -- to read in a candlelit circle of fellow aficionados with Cece as our grand finale.
Johnnie "the Scot" Mundell will be just back from Scotland so he should be in rare form as he dispenses fine single malt Scotch and tells us how to appreciate it like pros.

Cece Peri’s poetry has appeared in journals and anthologies, including Speechless the Magazine, Gift of Words: Poems for the Iraqi People, Luvina: Writers of Los Angeles Issue (University of Guadalajara), NoirCon 2010 and NoirCon 2012 (Busted Flush Press), Malpais Review, Capital & Main’s Words of Fire, and is forthcoming in The Pacific Coast Poetry Series Anthology of Los Angeles Poets. In 2008, she was selected to read at the ALOUD Newer Poets Series in the Downtown Los Angeles Public Library. Cece received a Pushcart Prize nomination, the first Anne Silver Poetry Award, and awards at NoirCon 2012 and the 2014 Arroyo Arts Collective’s “Poetry in the Windows” contest. Born and raised in the whoosh, whirl, and razzmatazz of New York City, is it any wonder that she now feels entirely at home in the city of Los Angeles?
