Event description

Description

Dr. Steven Whitfield, biologist at the Conversation and Research department at Zoo Miami, has extensively researched flamingo sightings and flying patterns on the Everglades National Park. This research sheds light on the past, present, and future of American flamingos in Florida.

This research is illustrated through Conchy, a flamingo with an unusual history and a unique sense of adventure.

The lecture is sponsored by the FIU Government Resources and Information Department and will take place at the Green Library (GL220) on the Modesto Maidique Campus at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 25th.
