The Torrington Historic Preservation Trust is a nonprofit organization that is committed to the preservation of Torrington’s diverse historic resources.

Our Mission:

To promote the importance of preserving, restoring and maintaining Torrington’s historically significant structures and areas of historic value and to retain the irreplaceable character of our city.

To raise community awareness of endangered key historic structures and inspire active restoration and reuse by sharing best methods and creative solutions.

To encourage and advise the community on the identification, restoration and reuse of important historic structures and to facilitate and develop active public participation in historic preservation through education, research and collaborative efforts.
