An event where cofounders find each other. Friday, Aug. 26th 2011 at 530p
Presented by PinfoB.com ("pin-fob") with a hosted beer/wine bar and light food
It’s a classic cliché that an A-team with a B idea is better than a B-team with an A idea, because it’s a fact that the team for any project has to be a well oiled machine complete with all the necessary parts/people.
Cofinder will be a room full of people looking to:
- Add to or build A-teams for a brand new or very early stage startup
- Hear from the pros how to make sure you’ve got a good team. A panel of local startups, and industry folks discussing team development and dynamics and answering your questions.
- Learn about startup resources in the valley
- Have a little fun meeting new people with a similar passion!
Who should attend?
The Cofinder event is intended to be a place where people with skills & ideas, but an incomplete team can find the right people to fill the gaps. We are an internet startup so this event is mostly for folks looking to do a software/tech/internet startups.
This will NOT be a room full of service providers and we're limiting the number of non-technical attendees, so we can have a good balance of skills. That sounds harsh, but we acknowledge the reality that everyone and their cousin has an idea for the next great app or "facebook but for cats!" idea - not everyone has skills and the ability to commit.
Know who is who
Attendees will be declaring their skills via ticket types of Tech, Business Savvy, Designer, etc. which will be displayed prominently by nametag color so you will know who you’re talking to and who you should be talking to.
Don’t limit yourself though, because that developer may know the best designer around and vice versa. Anyone can have a great idea, so that won’t be a ticket type, we're focusing on getting the right people in the room so you can worry about the ideas.
