Overview

Join us for a free day exploring the amazing, magical and mysterious world of trees in our communities

Did you know that people in Splott have among the lowest access to trees anywhere in the UK? Join us for a free day exploring the amazing, magical and mysterious world of trees.

What's happening?

The Museum of Memorable Trees Step into artist Harry Pizzey's travelling installation, a sensory, walkabout experience where you'll listen to recorded memories of people's deep connections with trees. Part art, part archive, wholly magical.

Fireside Tree Tales Gather round the fire with storyteller Pridie Tiernan for folktales and fairytales steeped in ancient tree wisdom. There's something about stories told outdoors, together, that rekindles our deep knowing: people and place are intricately linked.

Sensory Poetry Explosion How do trees make you feel? What do they make you think about? Work with writer Jodie Bond to explore trees through your senses and weave your words into a collective community poem, an ode to our deep-rooted friends.

Macro Filmmaking An old oak can be home to 2,000 different species. Work with filmmakers Christian Britten and Eleanor Greenwood to play David Attenborough and discover the hidden worlds living in bark, moss and leaf.

Plus… Explore the beautiful Railway Gardens and grab a coffee and cake from the Seal & Bear Cafe.
