Don’t Miss Out: When School Is Not Safe

Overview

Join us online for a free information session exploring EOTAS options when school is no longer a safe or suitable place for a child.

This session is for families who are seeing their child struggle emotionally, psychologically, or physically in school and are being told to keep going anyway. We will explain what EOTAS is, what it is not, and how it can be used within the law to secure suitable education when attendance is no longer possible.

We will cover
What EOTAS means in real life, not theory
When EOTAS can apply and why it is not a last resort
What evidence actually matters for families
How EOTAS sits within an EHCP
How families navigate this without immediate escalation

The session is psychologically informed but rooted in what families actually do when school is causing harm. It is designed to reduce overwhelm, challenge myths, and give parents clarity about their options.

This session is delivered by
Nicola, a neuroaffirming, trauma informed psychologist with extensive experience supporting autistic and EBSA children
Jessica, senior SEND and social care consultant and parent carer, with lived and professional experience navigating EOTAS in practice

Suitable for parents and carers, and for anyone supporting a child where school is no longer safe.

Free to attend. Supportive. Clear. No pressure.
