When Hours Become Minutes: a Case for Hyperloop in the UK
Thu, October 27, 2016, 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM BST
We are HypED, an interdisciplinary team of over 50 students from The University of Edinburgh’s Engineering, Economics and Business Schools. We are proud to present the results of this year’s work, which could make 300 metre/second (1080 km/h) travel in the UK a reality.
After a successful entry to the SpaceX competition, we have crafted a comprehensive commercial, socio-economic, and legislative case for the Hyperloop One Global Challenge. This event sets a major milestone in the development of the proposed Hyperloop Scotland - West Midlands - London and East Midlands - London corridors.
What is on the programme?
A panel of influential experts and the HypED Business team presenting the business feasibility study of Hyperloop in the UK. We aim to inspire the public with the team's vision of the future of public transport, which we refer to as “getting HypED”. Following the presentation, we invite everyone to exchange ideas and chat with the team. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to cater the actual event.
The event is free but ticketed. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
We are excited to see you on Thursday 27th!
