Event description

Description

According to a Pew Research Center survey, 35% of adult Millennials (Americans born between 1981 and 1996) are religiously unaffiliated. And according to Pew, few more Millennials say they have no religious affiliation compared with those who identify as evangelical Protestants (21%), Catholics (16%) or mainline Protestants (11%).

While there are an abundance of competing theories, significant questions remain as to why emerging adults are leaving the church and what might help them be retained or choose to return. The inaugural Wheaton Mission & Ministry Conference will feature top Evangelical scholars presenting on what we know about the exodus of the younger generations from the church and how we can recapture a theology and lifestyle which draws them back into a relationship with God AND his church.

Presenters come from a variety of disciplines and include David Kinnaman, Brianna Parker, David Setran, Beth Seversen, Daniel Rodriguez, Russell Jueng, and more. Lunch is included both days. Morning and afternoon sessions will be held in the Wilson Suite on the 4th floor of the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College.

Evening sessions are in Barrows Auditorium in the Billy Graham Center.

NOTE: When you register, please select the full conference option or the evening session only.

The WMMC is sponsored by the Billy Graham Center Institute and the School of Mission, Ministry, and Leadership at Wheaton College.
