What's Your Elevator Pitch? Sustainability Job Workshop with Shannon Houde
Event Information
Description
An interactive workshop where you'll create a 30-second elevator pitch to land your dream job or start your own business.
Have you ever found yourself standing in front of a potential hiring manager or client at an event desperately trying to untangle your personal sales pitch from the cotton in your mouth?
I think we've all been there...
Articulating yourself well in that first minute of meeting someone is crucial for effective networking, pitching projects and winning job offers. And translating that quick pitch into a written summary profile for LinkedIn or a CV is another crucial challenge.
Sustainability Career Coach, Shannon Houde of Walk of Life Consulting, who is a MBA and entrepreneur herself, will let you in on her secrets from 20 years in recruitment combined with 15 years in CSR and the impact sector, to help you design your compelling personal marketing statements. She will also share her experiences of working with Bard’s MBA in Sustainability program and students.
Who should attend? Any jobseekers, freelancers or entrepreneurs looking to build confidence around marketing themselves in a competitive field.
