What’s Wrong With “Stand Up or I Can Help You”? A Review of Massachusetts Law and Ethical Considerations of Using Physical Restraint

Please join us for an Ethics Workshop focusing on the Massachusetts Restraint Guidelines and Research on Restraint presented by Jessica Alverson, M.S., LABA, BCBA. Attendees will recieve 2 BCBA continuing education units in Ethics.

After this event, attendees will:

1). Better understand the Massachusetts Restraint Law and the Professional and Ethical Code of Compliance (PECC).

2). Evaluate restraint and treatment plan scenarios for compliance with law and code.

3). Have practiced using forms to document restraints.

4). Evaluate current systems and policies to ensure compliance with Massachusetts Law and the PECC.
