• The secret of “transparency” in e-mail marketing.

• The 4 U’s formula for writing subject lines that can increase click-through rates 25% to 50% or more.

• What should be in the “from” line?

• Deciding on format: text, HTML, or text in an HTML shell.

• What works best in e-mail: long or short copy?

• Increasing e-mail response rates with pictures.

• The most powerful secret for successful e-mail marketing.

About the instructor:

A freelance copywriter with more than 3 decades of experience, Bob Bly has written copy for dozens of clients including Agora Publishing, IBM, AT&T, BOC Gases, and Medical Economics. He is the author of more than 85 books including The Copywriter’s Handbook (Henry Holt) and Internet Direct Mail (NTC Business Books), one of the first books published on e-mail marketing. He sends, tests, and analyzes the results of the approximately 10 million e-mails he sends to his list of 65,000 online subscribers each month.
