The self-esteem within a young girl is very important, especially in today’s culture. Teens have access to so many social media outlets that allow them to compare their bodies to others. It’s not easy to feel “beautiful” in a world that is constantly pushing the “next best thing.” Petersburg native Courtney Miller is doing something about this and has decided to host her first annual teen girls’ conference, “What’s The Cure?:” for girls between the age of 16-21. Just as the name suggests, this conference is all about showing girls there is a cure and it comes from within. So often, many teens spend their lives trying to “cover up” and “seek” after all the wrong things; they try to “cure” their short-comings. Courtney will teach attendees the importance of self-confidence, securing a positive self-image, and building a strong community of friends. Courtney has made it her goal to help raise the self-esteem of every girl she has the opportunity to connect with through this conference. She does not want anyone to miss out on this opportunity; therefore she has made this conference absolutely free.
Miller’s approach is very generational and fresh. Her bubbly personality and heart for teen girls, is her selling ticket in building relationships with them. It is Miller’s goal to become a motivational speaker and she is making the right steps in doing so with starting this conference. “What’s The Cure” is not just another “teen girls’ conference” it is a movement towards self-reflection. Instead of trying to “cover up” and “falsely cure” a flaw or insufficiency, attendees will be able to know how to deal with their issues in a healthy way through positivity and self-reflection.
Join Courtney Miller for the “What’s The Cure” Conference on December, 10, 2016 – (Doors open at 6:30pm) - Conference starts at 7PM at 3900 West Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23831
