Keynote Address featuring Dr. Vivian Ho
Hospital Price Transparency: Can Better Information Help Us Lower Our Insurance Premiums?
Vivian Ho, Ph.D., is the James A. Baker III Institute Chair in Health Economics, a professor in the Department of Economics at Rice University, and a professor in the Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Ho’s research examines the effects of economic incentives and regulations on the quality and costs of health care. Her recent research found vastly different prices for the same services at three major Houston hospitals.
During this keynote address, Dr. Ho will explore some of the factors impacting health care trends in the Texas market, including TRS-ActiveCare. She’ll share critical information for health care purchasers as school administrators are making decisions on health plans.
