What's the Big Idea?

By Aducate Digital

Overview

Got an idea for a business you can’t stop thinking about? This lab helps you see it clearly, test it safely, and turn it into something real

Every idea begins as a spark. Exciting, unformed, and often tangled in self-doubt. Entrepreneurs know that rush: the energy that says this could be something. Often followed by the hesitation that asks, but is it really anything?

The truth is, you can’t know if an idea will work until you take it out of your head and put it into the world. That’s what this lab is for: to help you see your idea clearly, test it safely, and discover whether it has legs before you commit any more of your time, money, or energy.

In this 2 hour in-person session, you’ll explore how art, science, and strategy intersect to bring ideas to life. Through hands-on creative exercises and guided frameworks, you’ll learn how to translate your concept into something tangible. Something you can see, explain, and refine.

What We'll Do

We’ll start by breaking big ideas into manageable parts, turning nervous energy into forward motion. You’ll test your communication skills, uncover blind spots, and practice sharing your idea with others in a way that actually lands.

By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with:

  • A visual “Big Idea Canvas” that maps out your concept.
  • Constructive feedback to strengthen your idea’s foundation.
  • A clearer understanding of how your idea connects to your business plan.
  • The confidence to move forward — or pivot — with purpose.

This lab is about discovery rather than perfection. You’ll leave knowing whether your idea can live outside your head. And if it can, you’ll have the tools to help it grow.

Who Should Attend

This lab is for anyone standing at the edge of a new idea and wondering what comes next.
You might be:

  • An entrepreneur with an app concept you’re not sure how to test.
  • A musician finding traction and ready to turn creativity into a full-time business.
  • A solopreneur exploring a new revenue stream but unsure if it’s ready to launch.
  • A nonprofit leader facing funding cuts, looking to pivot services within a limited budget and timeline.

These are just a few examples. If you have an idea that’s exciting but unformed, this lab gives you the tools, structure, and clarity to figure out your next step.

Facilitated by:
