What's Next Afer High School - for Black & Brown Males - Annual Symposium
About this event
Many of our Black and Brown young men are clueless and unsure about the possibilities and opportunities of post-secondary placements. Unfortunately, this local problem has reached national proportions. The global community is in dire need of Black and Brown males’ creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial SWAG (Something We All Got).
THE PURPOSE OF THIS EVENT:
The workshops will consist of an orientation, three workshop classes that are post-secondary specific [Money-Management, How to Master High School, and How to prepare for the real SAT (Stress.Anxiety.Trauma)], and break-out sessions that are strategically engineered to increase student's self-awareness and self-agency.
WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?
This program is exclusively for Juniors and Seniors All presenters are Black and Brown men who are considered experts in their respective fields. Research suggests, students learn best and retain more information from teachers who look like them.
