Event description

Description

The year 2019 marks the 400th year since the arrival of the first slave ship at Jamestown, Virginia. Slavery has ended. Civil Rights laws have been passed. But racism continues. Here in Cincinnati, the rates of childhood poverty and shortened life expectancy fall heavily on People of Color. Rev. Damon Lynch, pastor of New Prospect Baptist Church and known throughout the region as a civil rights leader, discusses what is needed now to bring an end to this 400-year legacy of inequality.
