About this Event

The CT Charter Oak HPNA presents "What you didn't learn in school about Palliative Care and Hospice". This promises to be an exciting day filled with information about key topics including dementia and delirium, pain management, immunotherapy, medial marijuana, the core definitions of hospice and palliative care, and others!

The day will start with our Key Note Speaker Dr. Monica Williams-Murphy - Huntsville's Hospital Emergency Physician and Medical Director for Advanced Care Planning and End-of-Life Education. She is a captivating National speaker, and an Award winning Writer, Author of “It’s OK to Die”-an End of Life Planning Guide. Her focus is bio-psycho-social-spiritual support for the dying, their loved ones, and the healthcare systems which serve them.

Following the key note address you will be treated to a variety of topics relevant to all providers practicing or interested in palliative care.
