TAKE ACTION AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE
PANEL DISCUSSION: What we talk about when we talk about Gender-Based Violence
Each day people bravely step forward and identify themselves as victims and survivors of sexual assault and harassment, and are increasingly also identifying themselves as victims and survivors of other forms of gender-based violence, which can include human trafficking, street harassment, stalking and hyper-sexualization.
Join us and hear from a survivor of gender-based violence, a policymaker, and a service provider as they each work in their unique spaces to create safe environments for all New Yorkers regardless of gender identity or gender expression. During our panel, you will learn:
- How you can support your fellow New Yorkers who confront their experience with gender-based violence, and
- How you can help prevent, reduce, and eliminate gender-based violence in your communities.
