Have you ever laid down in a bed of roses? Handed an arm and a leg over to your doctor? Thought a book was the absolute bee’s knees?

Worse—have you ever used these kinds of phrases in your writing?

Cliches are incredibly difficult to avoid. Those pesky overused metaphors, similes, and aphorisms lurk around every corner (even in workshop descriptions!) But that doesn’t mean you have to be beholden to them. Join us for a fun, generative workshop that will transform cliches from stale, overused thoughts to vibrant, surreal writing prompts. Walk away with a keen eye for rooting out cliches in your own work and maybe even the start of a story that busts a familiar cliche wide open!
