Two years ago, the first Leadership Summit led to the creation of the Environmental Collaborative. Since then, ECO has grown into a byline-funded organization encompassing more than 30 sustainability groups. ECO has continued the tradition of the Leadership Summit because of the excellent ideas that have arisen out of it, many which became impactful initiatives. On December 6th, from 11:30-1:30pm in Willard Straight Hall Memorial Room, the third annual Leadership Summit will take place! ECO invites you to join us in What Now: Adjusting to Change in an Uncertain Future. With all of the current developments, it is very important that we discuss strategies for the future, and your opinion is essential in reaching the best solution.
The event will begin with a moderated speaker panel and delicious, catered food. The panel will be followed by a brief presentation by attendees of the recent COP 22 climate summit in Morocco! Attendees will then break into 10 groups similar to the divisions of the Presidential Sustainable Campus Committee. In these groups, students and administration will work together to identify issues and develop solutions. The solutions will be presented to the Summit, and incorporated into concrete plans for the future. ECO expects the Summit participants to remain involved in the execution of the plans, as the most effective solutions involve participation at all levels.
The event price will be $4 to acommodate the cost of catered food.
