Advisory Council on Campus Climate, Culture and Inclusion

Now entering its eighth year, “What Matters to Me and Why - Alumni,” the annual series of informal discussions with respected members of our campus community, has enjoyed remarkable success.

Omead Afshar is the Project Director for the Office of the CEO at Tesla. Tesla is a global automotive, energy and technology company. In this role he supports the CEO directly across the business. Prior to working at Tesla, he managed Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) Operations and the Infrastructure/Operations Systems team at Abbott, formerly St. Jude Medical. Omead received his bachelor’s in biomedical engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering from the University of California, Irvine. He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area predominantly.
