With Special guest speakers:
Julie Swan and Mark Phillips - Partners at PCR LLP Insolvency Practice
Insolvency can creep up on any company. It can stalk fast growth companies that simply don’t have enough cash in the business as well as those that have a large debtor or slow paying clients, profitability issues, slumping sales or spiralling costs.
Julie and Mark will:
- Outline the key symptoms to look for to identify companies that are or may be insolvent;
- Suggest what to do about it if you come across one or if you think your business is at risk;
- Give examples of how to handle insolvency well, with the best outcome for creditors, business owners, staff and customers and how not to go about it;
- Explain the recent changes in the Insolvency Rules.
Julie is a chartered accountant as well as an insolvency practitioner and has worked in insolvency for over 22 years. Julie’s experience is widespread including appointments in construction, fashion, sports and leisure and retail.
Mark is an insolvency practitioner who has over 27 years’ experience in the industry. Mark has dealt with a wide variety of assignments across many industries including construction, sports & leisure, pharmaceuticals, wholesale and retail. Mark also undertakes investigative cases where there are potential claims for, amongst other things, wrongful trading and misfeasance.
