Event description

Description

Presented By: Officer Dorsey and Co-Sponsored by the Women's Resource Center

This course offers insight to the definition of stalking: stalking, victimization, the impacts that stalking has on victims, different types of stalkers, slang terms used for stalking, stalking laws and how technology is used to stalk. I'll offer several examples of stalking as many people are unaware that their behavior constitutes stalking. I'll discuss how we approach stalking complaints on campus as a police department and have resource information available to all attendees.

Why should you attend:
Responsible employees are persons who have the authority to take action or who have been given the duty to report incidents of sexual misconduct, domestic violence and stalking to the Title IX Coordinator or whom a student could reasonably believe has the authority or duty. Every EMU employee is considered an "responsible employee", except those who are licensed mental health care providers (e.g. CAPS).
