About this event
Cleveland Public Library, TSOPCLE, and invited guests will educate the broader Cleveland community about the origins of Juneteenth and bridge the gap between corporate investors and community members to bring awareness about issues that impact the Black folks living in Cleveland.
Event lineup includes a choral performance of Lift Every Voice & Sing, the Black National Anthem; followed by an opening message from a Cleveland Pastor including acknowledgement and brief historical context of Juneteenth; Panel Discussion with three professionals representing health, finance, and spirituality to provide practical resources and guidance on attaining sustainable freedom through healthy habits and lifestyle adjustments. Followed by live entertainment provided by local dance group, Djapo Cultural Arts Institute, performing traditional African dance ad drum.
