Sharing Treatment and Autism Resources

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is widely considered the most effective treatment strategy for individuals with autism, but what exactly is it? And how can it help your child with Autism? This workshop will incorporate video examples and hands on activities to improve your understanding of what ABA is and how it can be used to teach new skills and decrease problem behaviors.

Presentation objectives:

Participants will:
1. Describe applied behavior analysis (ABA) as a science for addressing behavioral excesses and deficits in a way the general public can access.
2. Describe and practice ABA strategies and tools

Presenter:

Presenter: Shannon Majoros, M.S., C.A.S, BCBA, LBA is the Director of Programming at RISE for Autism in Severna Park, MD. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Mount Saint Mary's University and her M.S. in Early Childhood Special Education from Johns Hopkins University. She is a Maryland Certified Special Education Teacher and Licensed Behavior Analyst, a Certified Autism Specialist, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
