Every business needs a trading or brand name. Customers need to be able to identify your business from your competition in a highly competitive market place.

This webinar will explain the basics behind trademark protection and registration, and how to use internet databases and resources to search for trademarks. The session will include a live demonstration of a trademark search to guide delegates through the process.

Presented by Jeremy O'Hare:

Jeremy is an Information Expert in the Business & IP Centre at the British Library. He presents the Centre’s series of business and intellectual property workshops. He has worked with a diverse range of businesses from all sectors, especially helping those who are at a start-up and growth level.

Organised by

The Business & IP Centre was launched in 2006 with the aim to support businesses, entrepreneurs and inventors grow their organisations across a range of industries.

Providing small business advice, support and resources the Centre has been used by more than 500,000 individuals, a number that increases alongside our offering of business support.

The success is partly due to the free business resources available to anyone who wants to use our comprehensive collection of databases and publications, as well as a great number of workshops, advice sessions and other events.
