Description

The focus of this seminar

This employment law breakfast seminar, run in conjunction with Hays Specialist Recruitment, will offer a practical focus on the GDPR – the forthcoming changes in data protection regulation which will require those with HR responsibilities to start some potentially significant preparation and planning as soon as possible. We will give guidance on the practical steps that HR professionals should be taking now and will need to take in the near future. We will explain:

  • Why and how you will need to audit information you hold on current employees, former employees and prospective job candidates before the new regime comes into force
  • What aspects of existing HR policies and procedures will need amending to ensure their compliance with the new GDPR regime
  • Why you will need to ensure the correct handling of HR data by line managers in other functions within your organisation
  • What procedures you will need to set up to deal with Subject Access Requests and Right To Be Forgotten Requests from former employees and others who have contacted the HR function
  • How future changes to your HR systems will need to take GDPR obligations into account
