Event description

Description

Join me on Friday, Sept. 29 at 9:00 AM-10:00 AM PDT (12:00 PM-1:00 PM EDT) for an interactive teleseminar, What Do I Say When?

If you interact with people who are different at work or in life, at some point you are either going to hear or say something that is inappropriate, offensive or biased. Even if we are the most self-aware and well-intentioned, it happens.
What do I say when....
  • I hear someone say something offensive; racist, sexist, homophobic, etc.?
  • I want to talk with someone who is from a different demographic than me but I'm afraid of saying the "wrong thing," and what if I do?"
  • I disagree with an idea, organizational practice or viewpoint but don't want to be shut down or shut out?
For the answers to these questions and more join me on Friday Sept 29 at 9:00 AM PT for a one-hour teleseminar.
Too often, people don't address these challenging issues. They say nothing and/or avoid discussions that need to be had. The result: unspoken tensions which impede collaboration, productivity and innovation. These unspoken tensions can result in silos, exclusion or even a situation like the so-called "Google memo."

Being prepared can make all the difference. Knowing and practicing "what to say when." will make it easier to work with people from different demographics, perspectives or philosophies.
Know What to Say When. Join me on Friday Sept 29 at 9:00 AM PT for a one-hour teleseminar, What Do I Say When?
Learn through scenarios and role plays:
  • What to say when a co-worker, manager or colleague makes a statement you think stereotypes, disparages or is offensive about people who are different
  • What to say when someone tells you your statement is disparaging, offensive or inaccurate
  • How to engage in open dialogue with people whom you disagree
  • How to determine what to say, what not to say and when and how to say it
The first ten people who register will receive a free copy of my book, 110 Ways to Champion Diversity and Build Inclusion.
Price for teleseminar: $49.00 per attendee
For six or more attendees: $299.00 (contact Simma@SimmaLieberman.com 510-697-8226 to arrange)
Or if you would like a customized teleseminar or webinar for your organization we are offering a special rate of $799.00 (normally $2500.)
