This year's ARTES Glendinning Lecture features Marta Cacho Casal, an art historian specialising in Early Modern art, and particularly the Spanish Golden Age. She holds a PhD from the Warburg Institute, has held fellowships in Florence, New York and Oxford, and was also the recipient of the first Alfonso Pérez Sánchez Prize for her book on Francisco Pacheco. She is currently working on a book about artists' libraries in Italy and Spain (c. 1550 to 1650). Her talk will touch upon her new research into artists' reading and collecting books in Spain.

Esta edición de la Conferencia Glendinning realizada anualmente en colaboración con ARTES, cuenta con Marta Cacho Casal, historiadora del arte especializada en el arte moderno temprano, particularmente en la Edad de Oro española. Marta tiene un doctorado del Instituto Warburg, ha recibido becas en Florencia, Nueva York y Oxford, y también el primer Premio Alfonso Pérez Sánchez por su libro sobre Francisco Pacheco. Actualmente trabaja en un libro sobre las bibliotecas de los artistas en Italia y España (1550-1650). Su charla hará referencia a su más reciente investigación sobre la lectura y la recopilación de libros de artistas españoles.
