"What Artists Knead"

Breadmaking Parties for Artists

Let's bake and break bread together!
Come and meet fellow artist-neighbors, and talk about the future of arts and culture in our city.

Did you know the City of Boston is currently gathering community input to make its first-ever cultural plan?

In an initiative called Boston Creates, over 1000 people have already participated in more than 90 conversations all over the city. Let's make sure individual artists' voices are part of this discussion!

Boston Creates' artist-ethnographer Shaw Pong Liu and artist-hosts Aziza Robinson-Goodnight, Beth Ireland and Mattapan Cultural Arts host the "What Artists Knead" breadmaking party series.

Every day, for four days, we will be baking and breaking bread in a different neighborhood of Boston, hanging out with artists, and sharing ideas that will be, er, fed to the Boston Creates planning team.

At each party, you will make bread with fellow artists, working with dough that was mixed at a previous party, and preparing loaves to be baked at the following party. (A Chain-of-Boules, if you will!)

PLEASE RSVP at links below - limited capacity at most events.
