What Are You Doing Out There?

Ewa Beach, HI
Over the past SEVEN elections, Hawaii has had LESS THAN HALF of all registered voters actually VOTE in the primary elections. For the general elections, Hawaii has had yet to have more than 70% of registered voters vote. In 2008, Hawaii had the LOWEST voter turn-out and in 2010, we were 39th. These numbers tell us that the majority of people in Hawaii do not believe voting is important. As followers of Christ, it is our duty to stand up for what we believe to be good and just and to vote for leaders we believe will work to make laws that will allow everyone the opportunity to live a good life. So ‘get in here’ and join us for a discussion on why voting is an important duty as a citizen and Christian.
