Event description

Description

You are cordially invited to attend Wharton Aerospace 2019.

Wharton Aerospace is an association of senior executives and invited guests with shared commitments to the commercial aerospace & defense industries. We conduct by-invitation-only annual conferences on Wharton campus in Philadelphia to foster closer ties between the Wharton School, our Wharton Aerospace participants and the industrial base.

Our fourteenth annual event will commence at Huntsman Hall (3730 Walnut St, Philadelphi, PA) on Friday 08 March at 8:00am and will be preceded by a Thursday 07 March 5:30-11pm cocktail reception at the school-owned University City Sheraton Hotel (3549 Chestnut St)..

Our 2019 theme is “Beyond the FYDP" (i.e., long-range planning while still making numbers) and our confirmed keynote speakers are

- BAE Systems, Inc COO Tom Arseneault, and

- Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) CEO Eric Fanning.

We will have two concurrent capstone panels:

Our confirmed defense panelists include: Aerojet Rocketdyne SVP Strategy & Business Development Greg Jones, Israel Aircraft Industries North America CEO Swami Iyer, Lockheed Martin SVP Corporate Strategy & Business Development Robert Mullins, SAIC SVP Corporate Development Chris Donaghey and Textron Systems SVP Business Development & Strategic Growth Ryan Hazlett.

Our confirmed commercial aerospace panelists include: Boeing VP Enterprise Strategy Travis Sullivan, Cobham SVP Sales & Business Development Uwe Steffens, GE Aviation Chief Digital Officer John Mansfield and Signature Flight Support CCO Shawn Hall.

For 2019 we continue our extremely popular and highly interactive “communities of practice” break-out sessions covering topics of interest to CFOs, COOs, CTOs, CSOs and Corporate Development & Business Development SVPs. Details will be sent to registered participants.

Post-Event Actvity: An informal dinner for those remaining overnight in Philadelphia or having flexibile travel plans will take place 08 March at 4:30pm at to-be-determined location..

Recommended Accommodations: University City Sheraton. You may book accommodations at this URL: https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1546622171439&key=GRP&app=resvlink

Dress: Business Attire

Our last event was attended by ~300 participants and over three dozen speakers and panelists from over 125 companies. 67% of participants were corporate VPs and above; 20% were Presidents/CEOs/CFOs/COOs/ CxOs. We expect a similar participant profile for our 2019 event.

We thank our sponsors for their continued support: Alderman & Company, Avascent Group, DHR International, Deloitte, KippsDeSanto, Korn Ferry, Lockheed Martin, Moelis, PwC, Renaissance Strategic Advisors and Safran.

See you in Philadelphia!
