Wharf Fest is a free event on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday October 27th from 11 a.m.-6p.m.

CHOWDER COMPETITION TASTING:
PRE-SALE CHOWDER COMPETITION TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT! - Arrive at the event by 12:00 Nooon or earlier for your chance to buy from the remaining 70 available door tickets.
When: Saturday Only October 26 12 p.m.-3 p.m.
(Please arrive at 12p.m. for guaranteed sample of each chowder)
Where: The intersection of Jefferson and Taylor Streets, Fisherman's Wharf- San Francisco
Price: $10 if purchased in advance, $15 at festival day of (if not sold out)
Includes: Eight 2 oz. samples of chowder from Fisherman's Wharf restaurants
At Wharf Fest's chowder competition, on Saturday, October 26, the restaurants of California's chowder capital will battle it out for the title of best Fisherman's Wharf chowder. Contestants will range from classic establishments like Bistro Boudin, Alioto's and Fisherman's Grotto #9 to new Wharf restaurants. Your $10 ticket gets you access to the chowder competition and a chance to sample and vote on the Wharf's finest chowders!
BEER & WINE GARDEN TASTING:
When: Saturday October 26 12p.m.-5p.m. or Sunday October 27 12p.m.-5p.m.
Where: On Beach Street between Larkin and Polk Streets (next to Ghirardelli Square), Fisherman's Wharf- San Francisco
Price: $25 for a one day pass if purchased at festival day of (if not sold out). $35 for a two day pass (only available online in advance)
Includes: Beer & Wine sampling in our Harvest Beer & Wine Garden

The Blue Angels air show and Naval parade for Fleet Week are cancelled for 2013, but don't fret! Fisherman's Wharf is throwing the ultimate celebration this October. Come to the inaugural Wharf Fest, a free festival on October 26 and 27, to celebrate the legacy of San Francisco's historic waterfront district and enjoy achowder competition, live music, food & wine, art, craft beer tasting, a chef's demonstration kitchen,children's activities and rides, and more. Saturday will be topped off with a screening of the award-winningfilms from last year's San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival at the Bay Theater and a spectacularfireworks show at PIER 39.
Wharf Fest marks milestone occasions for Fisherman's Wharf such as PIER 39's 35th Anniversary and the 50th Anniversary of Hyde Street Pier's public opening.
Family-friendly entertainment will extend throughout Fisherman's Wharf, on Jefferson and Beach Streets from Ghirardelli Square to PIER 39. Several blocks of Jefferson Street will be closed for pedestrian-only access and special exhibitors including Fisherman's Wharf merchants, local artists, and seafood restaurants.
Visit the Fisherman's Wharf information table at Jefferson and Taylor Streets during the event to learn how you can enter to win tickets to see Amaluna, the new show by Cirque du Soleil, which opens in San Francisco in November, 2013. Other sponsors of the event include the Port of San Francisco, Big Bus, The National Liberty Ship Memorial/S.S. Jeremiah O'Brien, PIER 39, Artemia Communications, and Ellis Eye Center of Northern California, CRUNCH Fitness, SF FunCheap, and Grayline Buses.

ABOUT THE FISHERMAN’S WHARF COMMUNITY BENEFIT DISTRICT
The Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District (visitfishermanswharf.com) was founded in November of 2005 by the business and property owners of the San Francisco neighbourhood. The district is funded through an annual assessment for 15 years from the property owners. The purpose of the Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District is to preserve and enhance its vast San Francisco waterfront landscape and multi-cultural heritage, while integrating modern efficiencies to enrich the experience of visitors from both near and far.
