Event description

Description

This Open Mic Night, sponsored by the Weston Art & Innovation Center, is free and open to the public. Perform or just come to listen to acoustic music and spoken word at the Weston Town Hall. Refreshments will be provided starting at 6:00pm followed by performances at 7:00pm. Please register by January 17th so we know how much food we need and who will be performing. Email open-mic@westonaic.org if you have questions or need additional information.

This Open Mic Night is intended to be the beginning of an inclusive, monthly event that forges connections between musicians, poets, and an enthusiastic audience. Our goal is to foster creativity and build a community where participants have an opportunity to try out new material in a supportive and open environment. We expect to attract people of various ages and experience levels with different musical and poetic tastes and styles.

Information for Performers

If you wish to perform, please register online before January 17th by selecting the "Open Mic Night - PERFORMERS" ticket option. Performers can also sign up at the event before 6:45 if there are still spaces available.

Each performer will have up to 5 minutes to perform a musical number, poem, or other routine. Depending on attendance, performers may have the option of performing a second number.

Information for Audience Members

Everyone is invited to enjoy this evening of music and entertainment. Please bring your friends and family to support our local performers. A social hour at 6pm will precede the performances which begin at 7pm. Select the "Open Mic Night - AUDIENCE" ticket option.
