About this event

The Westhaven Foundation is excited to present Phil Vassar for the 11th annual Westhaven Porchfest! Opening for Phil will be People on the Porch.

Join us on Magli Green in Westhaven Town Center for a fun evening of music supporting The Westhaven Foundation.

General Admission - Open seating on the lawn with access to beer, wine, and cocktails for purchase. (no need to bring your own chairs)

VIP Experience - Exclusive access to the Coal Town Public House with buffet dinner, hors d'oeuvres, viewing from the porch, a private bar with 2 cocktails and an exclusive stage-front viewing area. A giveaway will be held for 5 VIP ticket purchasers to win an exclusive Porchfest gift package valued at over $1,000. It includes a $500 donation to your favorite charity, gift cards to your favorite Town Center merchants along with a framed signed commemorative poster, and Porchfest merchandise. This area will be 21 and over only.

General Admission tickets are $60, after 9/1 $65, VIP experience $175, after 9/1 $195.

Doors open at 5:30 pm and the show starts at 7 pm.

Parking: While there is plenty of on-street parking, we encourage parking at Pearre Creek Elementary School, Westhaven Residents Club or Town Center Parking off Westhaven Blvd behind Sweethaven/First Bank. Front Street between Whitman and Oleander will be closed for this event. We encourage Westhaven residents to walk if possible.

Inclement Weather Policy: Porchfest is an outdoor concert venue and is not covered. This show will be held rain or shine. If and when severe weather conditions exist, or are in close proximity to Magli Green, we may choose to delay the performance for up to an hour or longer before deciding to cancel or proceed. Guest and performers' safety is our primary concern! If weather conditions dictate, cancellation of the show may be required. We encourage all Porchfest guests to dress for potential weather changes. Umbrellas are not permitted in the venue during concerts.

NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGE IS PERMITTED. We encourage you to come early and check out our Town Center restaurants! Inside the event, you’ll find cocktails, beer, wine & spirits available before and during the show.

The General Admission area will be open seating so no need to bring your own.

Country music hitmaker Phil Vassar is a piano-pounding powerhouse on stage who taps into his audiences via social media for song requests throughout his more than 135 shows a year. Phil’s reign of signature songs include 10 No. 1 singles and 26 Top 40 hits, including Carlene, Just Another Day in Paradise, Six-Pack Summer, When I Love You; and many more. Vassar was racking up hits on the radio long before he even began his own recording career that has seen the release of six albums, two ASCAP Songwriter of the Year trophies, ACM’s Top New Male Vocalist and sold-out shows across the country.

Vassar's songwriting career blossomed in the mid- ’90s when he landed a publishing contract with EMI and penned hits for Collin Raye (Little Red Rodeo), Alan Jackson (Right on the Money), Tim McGraw (For a Little While), Jo Dee Messina (Bye Bye, Alright), and Blackhawk (Postmarked Birmingham). He signed a record deal of his own with Arista in 1998 and was named ASCAP's Country Songwriter of the Year in 1999. Vassar continues to churn out incisive, soulful lyrics and infectious melodies that capture the heart and soul in the unique and special way that only he can.
