Event description
This year's WRF features a range of FREE opportunities for graduate students including oral presentations, poster sessions, and workshops!

About this Event

This year's Western Research Forum will be held on Thursday, March 19th, 2020 in the Great Hall in Somerville House. We will be releasing our final program shortly!

General admission is open to both presenters and attendees. Pre-Registration for lunch at The Grad Club and for our four workshops is available for presenters only. Any spots remaining in the workshops will be open to attendees on a first-come first-serve basis.

The WRF 2020 promotes knowledge-sharing between graduate students from across the disciplines. This year's WRF features five-minute oral presentations, lightening talks, and an interactive poster session. A number of prizes will be available for both oral and poster presentations. Through a rigorous peer-review process, a handful of proposals have selected to deliver longer presentations in the WRF's Graduate Student Keynote Session. The WRF 2020 provides an excellent opportunity for graduate students to share their research and expand their network on campus.

This year's WRF offers four professional development workshops at 1:00pm-2:00pm on Thursday, March 19th. Participants can chose to attend one of the four afternoon workshops that explore themes pertaining to grant writing, pubslihing, teaching, and careers outside academia. These workshops are limited to 25 participants each and require advance registration. Presenters, secure your spot today!
