Jefferson County Public Library and Westminster Public Library proudly present Western Reboot: Authors of the Modern West, an exciting evening celebrating the modern western mystery.

If your idea of the Western includes John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, it's time to take another look. In the 20th Century, yesterday's cowboys took a back seat as caped superheroes claimed the stage and shelves, but the Western is back.

While today's sheriffs have replaced their horses with trucks, much of the story telling remains the same. The good guys are still beating the bad guys and the west is as wild as ever in these contemporary tales.

Schedule:

4:30 - 6 p.m. Author Panel

Get up close and personal with dynamic authors who write about the modern west, featuring authors Margaret Coel, Barbara Nickless, Manuel Ramos, Mark Stevens and Kevin Wolf.

6 - 7 p.m. Break

Grab a bite to eat while you wait for the main event; food and drink available for purchase.

7 - 8 p.m. Featured Speaker

New York Times Bestselling author Craig Johnson, writer of the Longmire stories (and inspiration for the hit Netflix series) takes the stage to discuss his newest novel and answer your questions.

8 - 9 p.m. Book Signing

Stick around and have your books signed. Bring your own book from home or purchase one on site.
