The purpose of the WNYHCC is to:
- Address health behaviors across the entire region among different sectors and populations.
- Identify regional themes around physical activity and healthy eating that can be adopted and promoted.
- Identify effective programs existing in the various communities that warrant replication
- Develop new program ideas to support the identified themes.
Do any of your projects align with our vision? Join us for our second WNYHCC meeting on January 27th at Erie One BOCES.
Too many organizations are working in isolation from one another.
Collective impact brings people together, in a structured way, to achieve social change.
-Collective Impact Forum
The WNYHCC meetings are fun, productive, and interactive. Join us as we practice using the asset map with real work applications, such as finding support for your funding asks, collaborative opportunities, and program development. Bill Wieczorek from Buffalo State College Institute for Community Health Promotion will also present on collective impact as we begin discussing a regional campaign. Help us as we define and design a regional campaign that engages all of our efforts and impacts overall population health
