About this event

Gardening in Saskatchewan

Explore plants native to Saskatchewan and some of the insects that visit our gardens like butterflies, dragonflies, and fireflies.

Activities include:

• Make insect inspired crafts

Crafts include a dragonfly napkin holder, firefly lantern, butterfly bracelet, and butterfly feeder. Take home a Butterfly BINGO card to play outside this summer.

• Make a take-home fairy garden

Each fairy garden includes: fairy garden container, everything you need to make a magical landscape (sea glass, bark, coloured sand, river rocks, reindeer moss), one fairy house, one Saskatchewan hardy plant, one beautiful butterfly decoration.

This workshop is for kids ages 8-12.

This workshop takes place at the Western Development Museum (WDM) - Saskatoon. 2610 Lorne Avenue, Saskatoon SK
