When you leave a message at this number, your voice message will be transcribed to text and sent immediately to a representative for a personal call back.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Not once you have secured your stateroom and assignments have begun. Homeland Security requires verifiable identification on all travel. Once the cabin is booked and payments paid in full, only the person(s) whose name is assigned to the stateroom can occupy it. Feel free to inquire with more questions with the organizer thoroughly by emailing email@example.com. Be sure to include a contact name and phone number in your email.
What is the refund policy?
No refund on deposits. The deposit is $25, plus a one-time processing fee of $20 and roughly a 3% transaction fee. Travel insurance is a good option, particularly is you have a pre-existing condition or experience a medical or death emergency. Should you elect not to purchase travelers insurance and experience a personal or family health/death emergency or other, contact the organizer immediately for assistance. There are limitations due to it being a group event. Refunds are not guaranteed in full or otherwise. It will really depend on the time and nature of the request. This is standard procedure.
Does the cost of the cruise include special events such as island excursions?
No. Island excursions are separate and payable on the ship or in advance, typcially via credit card or "ship care". You will receive specific information in the Cruise Newsletter published on behalf of Brownskin & Company. Or, you can email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is everything on the ship free?
No. There typically are other special attractions on the ship that involve an additional cost, like some formal or specialty restaurants, spa, and other listed attractions that are not included in your package. While room service is an included service, gratuity is not. You may elect to pay a gratuity package of about $10 - $12 per day as a separate request. Subscribe to the free Cruise Newsletter published on behalf of Brownskin & Company for more information.
I don't have a traveling companion. Can I still go?
Yes, but you will end up paying a much higher fare - their rules, not ours. Find a friend or relative to travel with you to keep your cost at this very special price. Interior rooms are still priced for double occupancy and follow the same solo rule - pay nearly 3X more if sailing with no companion.. If you still plan on traveling solo, you can book either a balcony or interior room at the higher rate if you desire. Contact the organizer for information and rates for solo travelers.
Can I get a stateroom other than a balcony, i.e. interior room or ocean view instead?
We're going to go with a "no" on this one. Staterooms w/balconies is a special promotion and cannot be customized. If you insist on an upgrade, i.e. suite, you will definitely incur additional fees that are considered "off promotion" as well as an additional deposit and service charge. All non-refundable. For any stateroom that becomes assigned, should you request and is granted an upgrade, i.e. suite, you are thereby stuck with it, as you cannot change your mind back. All staterooms in our promotion are subject to availability at the promotional listing.
I have a disability and need my wheelchair. Can you provide accommodations?
Absolutely. Just be sure to tell us your needs at time of booking. A very small amount of rooms aboard any of Carnival's ships is available. However, our reserved staterooms with balconies are ADA approved. We want to be sure we reserve yours and meet your request in advance as these rooms are on a first come first serve basis, so please indicate your need with your deposit by emailing us immediately.
How can I make my payments?
Since this is a group/special event on behalf of a group, a special secured account is provided through PayPal. You will be sent an invoice, beginning with your deposit, and recurring every month until your cabin is paid off (by August 6, 2016). Deposits are now being taken and due no later than August 31, 2015. Remember, you are required to pre-register for consideration of available staterooms reserved special for this event cruise. Also bare in mind as posted, pre-registration does not guarantee you a stateroom - only your deposit and full payment before sail date.
When & Where
Brownskin & Company Class of '74
Founded November 1, 2010, Brownskin & Company's mission is to promote friendship, fellowship, and good will among classmates and others of color in particular associated with Seneca High School (Seneca, SC). "Humanity amplified."
The group believes that breaking bread together and spending meaningful time away from the norm and stressful environments promote true friendship and a family vibe. The friendships, fellowship, and modeling of these friends for future generations serve as their legacy amidst the backdrop of the class of '74 in general.
The group's name was coined by member Virginia Holland-Davis to distinguish the African American classmates from the general population, not as a means of segregation. The group felt it necessary to establish its own legacy for the communities each member grew up in and now lives in and for other and future SHS graduates. The group carries out its mission through continous friendship and fellowship - including family members and extended friends.
The group meets every quarter - 3rd Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at a restaurant chosen by the (revolving) host. Since 2010, the group has met for lunch in South Carolina and metro Atlanta (Georgia). The group is throwing a global-sized party October 2016 to celebrate the 60th birthday of classmates ('74) on the Carnival Breeze - Western Caribbean Celebration Cruise, sailing from Miami, FL October 16 - 22, 2016.
