Westchester Model United Nations Conference
Event Information
About this Event
The 2021 WestMUN Conference is UNA Westchester's inaugural Model United Nations conference. Our goal is to bring local students together for thoughtful dialogue and debate about global issues. The students will have the chance to represent a leading nation within a UN body, network with students from other schools, hear from a number of UN officials live, and propose resolutions to the issues they are presented.
If you or your students or children are interested attending WestMUN, please book a ticket via Eventbrite. Admission is 100% free of charge, but donations are welcome. By filling out the form, you are committing to ensuring that your students are prepared for and attend the conference on April 17th. Optional training sessions will be hosted in advance to help students prepare.
Once you have registered, the WestMUN Secretariat will reach out with country and committee assignments, and more information about the conference and training sessions. The conference will feature 3 committees: UN Women (focused on gender parity), the World Health Organization (focused on Covid-19) and UNESCO (focused on world heritage sites and climate change). The conference is open to high school students as well as college freshmen and sophomores, but committees will be separated by age group.
